In A Homemade Theremin with Antenna, the movement of the viewer’s body interferes with an invisible electromagnetic field generated by a tall black pediment. The movement of their body generates sound as they engage with the object much in the way that a theremin does. This interaction often leaves viewers with a sense of wonder and entices play as they question their own body’s relationship to the formal structure of the pediment.
