BIO

Ziv Ze’ev Cohen is a new media artist who emphasizes on the way technology impacts our life’s in the past, present and future. His work challenges the senses of both humans and machines alike, often speculating on the future to reflect on the impact machines have on our society today. Cohen’s works are shifting between virtual and physical while using elements of kinetic movement, light, sound, and interaction.

Born in Israel, in the past few years has been moving between the US and China. Cohen holds an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s in Art and Technology Studies where he also taught for a few years.  Today he teaches at the School of Design&Innovation at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, China.

His works have been exhibited worldwide, at Ars Electronica festival in Austria, The Museum of China Academy of Art Hangzhou, Fusan foundation Shanghai, Gallery 062 Chicago, Pyramida art center Israel,
